Hej, I'm Anna Gustafsson and the founder of La Maison d'Anna G. I grew up in Sweden, spent a year in Australia and another one in Switzerland before settling in Paris where I've lived for more than 20 years now. I'm the mother of two teenagers, have a lifelong passion for interior design and a previous 17 year long career at IKEA on various managerial and specialist functions within supply chain and sales.

I started my own company in 2010 as a concept dedicated to contemporary Scandinavian design and interiors. The blog quickly gained recognition within France (selected Blog of the month by Marie Claire Maison in november 2010), but also internationally. Initially written in French only, it soon became bilingual English/French.

In 2012, I expanded the business with the opening of an online shop offering a selection of handpicked home decoration accessories of Nordic design, where more than half of the brands were exclusive to the French market. After three successful years I decided to close the shop in summer 2015 in order to develop other projects.

Since 2013, I also regularly teach and give lectures about Scandinavian interior design and trends at MJM design school in Paris. During 2014/15, I coordinated a work/training masterclass of visual merchandisers/interior designers as a collaboration between IKEA and MJM.

Every now and then I take part in jurys, eg. Maison & Objet - Prix de la Découverte, Bemz Design Award...

I'm part of Design Bloggers United, an alliance of 9 design bloggers from 9 different European countries set out to provide the quintessential blogging experience. Read more about us and what we do here.

If you would like to work with me within the areas of writing, styling, photo, lecturing or in any other way, please get in touch at annasofiag@yahoo.fr

  1. Myanmar is an ancient country with religious monuments having great scale and sophisticated architecture. Typical spot is the Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, the magnificent Kyaikhtiyo Mountain Pagoda in the ancient capital Bago, or the 1000 temples in Bagan. In addition, Myanmar tourism attracts foreigners by the pristine natural beauty of Inle Lake, Ngapali Beach or unique customs such as the Pa-O tribe or the cream of Thanaka. With these advantages, although just opened, Myanmar's tourism industry is growing at a rapid pace. So contacting Myanmar tour company is the best thing you can do to have the opportunity to enjoy the whole trip without any obstacle that you would meet if you travel self-sufficient, as well as save time and money.
